PHYSIOTHERAPY FOR PETERSFIELD AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS
About
If you are experiencing pain, have an injury or are recovering after an operation or illness, I can help improve your symptoms and get you back to doing the things you enjoy.
I have many years experience working across the NHS and private sector. This has allowed me to gain a broad scope of practice and work with a wide range of clients from high level athletes to someone who just wants to be able to walk pain free and regain their independence.
I provide a more hands on approach to physiotherapy. I combine this with an active rehabilitation programme to ensure you get the best possible outcomes.
Come and visit me in my dedicated treatment room with flexible booking times that work around your other commitments. Alternatively, I can visit you in the comfort of your own home.
I am registered with various health insurance providers. If you are considering coming through your provider, please contact me via email first.
Please see the individual tiles below for more information on what I can treat.

Dizziness/Vertigo/BPPV
If you are suffering from dizziness and/or balance problems, this could be caused by your vestibular system/inner ear not functioning properly.
Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialised form of physiotherapy designed to alleviate dizziness, balance issues and other symptoms related to vestibular disorders.
Treatment would include:
Assessment: Evaluating the patient’s balance, coordination, and gaze stability through specific tests.
Exercises: Implementing targeted exercises to improve balance, reduce dizziness, and enhance the brain's ability to process vestibular information.
Canalith repositioning procedures: Specific manoeuvres used to treat BPPV
Balance Training: Focusing on activities that strengthen balance and coordination, helping patients regain functional mobility.
Education: Teaching patients about their condition and strategies to manage symptoms in daily life.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture in physiotherapy is a treatment technique that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body to alleviate pain and promote healing.
Pain Management: Acupuncture is often used to relieve pain from injuries, chronic conditions, and nerve pain, enhancing the effects of other physiotherapy treatments.
Muscle Relaxation: It can help relax tight muscles and reduce tension, which is beneficial for conditions like muscle strains and spasms and tendon injuries.
Improved Blood Flow: By stimulating acupuncture points, blood circulation can be enhanced, promoting healing in injured tissues.
Inflammation Reduction: Acupuncture may help reduce inflammation, aiding recovery and decreasing pain levels.
Enhanced Recovery: Patients often experience faster recovery times and improved outcomes when acupuncture is combined with traditional physiotherapy techniques.
Home Visits
Whether you have recently been discharged from hospital, struggling with long-term pain, discomfort, immobility or would just prefer treatment in you own home I can provide a home visiting service within a 10 mile radius of Petersfield.
Each initial consultation will include a comprehensive assessment, treatment and rehabilitation plan tailored to your goals.
I commonly see patients for home visits after they have had an operation, such as a hip or knee replacements and they are unable to make it to my treatment room.
I also have experience of treating people with neurological conditions in their own home, as well as people that have spent some time in hospital, become deconditioned and need help getting back to normal.
However, home visits are not just limited to the conditions listed above. I can also treat the other conditions mentioned on this page in the convenience of your own home too.
Post-operative
Post-operative physiotherapy is a vital component of the recovery process following surgery.
I have worked closely with orthopaedic consultants and have an in-depth knowledge about the various operations that are performed on spines, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles.
I am aware of the rehabilitation stages during the journey to recovery and will always consider and advise on precautions and contraindications to be aware of for these stages.
I can help you on your rehabilitation journey, enhance your recovery and help you get back to the things you want to do.
